Vintage 1930's Jacket Pattern
This jacket is made from a Vintage 1930's pattern that I found at a little Church Thrift Shop in Northport, NY for 10 cents. It is missing all instructions and some pattern pieces, but I love it! I have made this for so many of my friend's children as I think it is a beautiful little jacket. I used corduroy for the turquoise and magenta jackets and bottom weight cotton for the red jacket.
I lined the first one I made with lining, but then in later ones decided that it should be cotton with a fun pattern on it. The lining often makes a jacket.
The turquoise and magenta jackets were made for my best friend's twin girls. I have learned that I prefer the bottom weight as it is easier to take care of. The corduroy washes but then is wrinkly and with 2 year olds the easier the care is, the better.
Gabriel's Winter Jacket
This is one of the first jackets I made. It is a heavy corduroy and I lined it with flannel plaid so he could wear it in the winter.
Dino Hoodie
Everyone needs a hoodie! Aimee found this fabric online and we bought about a million yards of it, hoodies, lounge pants, quilts, scarves, etc. It is a cuddly flannel and the hood is lined with blue cotton. Finding a separating zipper this small was tricky and it only came in white.
I am just looking for a place to send people who would like to see what is it I make. Please let me know if you have questions or comments or would like to have me make something.
